Traveling around the country, it would be nice to be able to keep in touch with friends and family as well as keeping in touch with the world, the world of INTERNET. And even at home, I would like to keep in touch with Voyager while she's in space dock (storage). So I added a line to my AT&T family plan and got the AT&T Netgear Nighthawk M1 WiFi router and a MIMO Antenna for Voyager.
This was a very straight forward setup. Just follow all the instructions that came with the router. Unfortunately, you can't do much with this router as AT&T has limited the capability. So you can't really run a server off of it and be able to get to it from the Internet. However, it has enough capabilities that I'm able to get temperature readings from the Temp Stick mod, Live Web Cam mod, and hopefully soon, a front dash cam feed. I have it attached to the wall in the dinette under the power connectors using 3M commander strips. The MIMO Antenna is a Netgear MIMO Antenna that's originally designed specifically for the Nighthawk M1. It is small and just need to be hanged or attached to the window.
