Modifications/Upgrades

All RV's have room for improvements. Voyager is no exception. Here are some of the things we modified/improved on. We are also slowly converting the RV from a Winnebago View to U.S.S. Voyager.  So some of the terms used in this section will be more along the line of Star Trek terminalogy.

Do come back and visit us often as we're constantly adding more modifications/upgrades to this page. There are already a bunch of them waiting for parts to arrive and be installed. So much to do in so little time. Where is B'elanna Torres, Harry Kim, and Reginald Barclay when you need them.

Voyager is a bit top heavy. Causing it to sway quite a bit while entering/leaving driveways, gas stations, store parking lots, etc. Even passing a semi or bus on the freeway causes it to sway a bit....

The house batteries are constantly being charged by the engine, solar panel, or shore power hookup, while the chassis battery is only charged by the engine. During long time storage where the engine isn't run much, the chassis battery might be completely drained. The solution is to install an Amp-L-Start between the 2 battery systems that'll charge the chassis battery with the house batteries when needed.

Analog LP Level Meter

Sometimes, digital isn't the best solution. The LP level meter in the OnePlace in Voyager only gives E (for Empty), 1/4, 1/2, 3/4, and F (for Full). But this digial readout is very errenous. The solution is to install an analog level meter to more accurately show how much LP is left in the tank.

Water Hose Management

The utility bin is a bit crampped and water hose management is non-existent. Someone on the Facebook View/Navion RV group discovered that there's a hidden panel that can be utiiized for water hose management.
